Modern, accessible and responsive, tailored to the users’ needs. That’s what we promised – and delivered – for the renewed company website for Finnair.

The need for a complete makeover for the site had come up a few times over the past few years, and this year the time was finally right to make it happen. So we gathered a small team and kicked the project off with a joint meeting with Finnair.

The company site showcases the corporate side of Finnair and is primarily aimed for journalists, investors and job seekers. It also holds information about Finnair’s organizational structure, strategy and values as well as history.

One of the main goals of the renewal was to simplify the service for both users and the maintenance team. Therefore the amount of content was significantly reduced and the whole structure was re-thought. Also the completely new platform, CoreMedia, enables modular design and easy content management, which makes updating the site fast and simple.

On top of it all, we created appealing visuals to convey Finnair’s airy brand identity but with a slightly more official tone. While our responsibility was to design and implement the overall experience, the section aimed for investors was provided as a separate entity by a third party.

Even though the launch date was advanced by a couple of weeks on a short notice, we pulled it off with flying colors. Yet another project delivered for Finnair!
