Appointment news: Emma Laiho is our new Design Director

In her new role, Laiho’s main responsibilities are developing the design community at Frantic, improving the design know-how of clients, and influencing in different design networks.
Master of Arts Emma Laiho has been appointed the new Design Director at digital service consultancy Frantic in June 2019. Laiho will be responsible for developing the design competence, supporting designers on their own career paths and advance design sales in cooperation with sales and project teams. She will also be the design representative in Frantic’s management team.
Before her appointment, Laiho has acted as the Lead designer at Frantic and been involved in both design method and design sales development. With clients she has been responsible for service design, improving the customer experience with customer insight, concept and UX design and leading design teams.
“My most important task in this new role is to develop our design community and support my colleagues in reaching their goals. I also want to be there to further advance the design thinking and culture of our clients, and actively make an impact in the design field as a community, outside Frantic as well”, explains Emma Laiho.
